Waycross has been chosen as one of three locations in Georgia to build a justice center to serve victims of domestic and sexual abuse.

WPD personnel will now be able to provide optimal transportation for victims of abuse with following the donation of a 2008 dodge caravan.

Waycross is opening it’s sidewalks to raise being awareness to suicide and it’s prevention. Merchants will have washable chalk outside local businesses available for shoppers to participate. The date to begin is still being discussed.

A man from the west coast is biking across the country to bring awareness to human trafficking in the United States. James cycled through Waycross on the 21st and has already raised $50,000 on his way to his final destination of the Florida Keys.
