Valera Sue Colley , 87, of Blackshear, passed away suddenly Tuesday evening, January 7, 2025, at her home in Blackshear.

Born in Blackshear, May 11, 1937, she was a 1955 graduate of Blackshear High School. After marrying, she lived and raised her family in Palm Beach County, FL, before moving back to Blackshear in the mid1990s. She was the owner/operator of Bushore Associates, as well as a partner in Nita Bugs Antique Store. She loved spending time and going shopping with her sisters. She also loved going to the river house, where she would spend her time reading and listening to music. An avid gardener, she loved working in her flower beds. She attended First Baptist Church of Blackshear.

She was a daughter of the late Thomas Marion and Juanita Deloach Colley. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Marian James and both of her brothers, Ed Deloach and Ray Deloach.

Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne , Charleston, SC; two sons, Butch (Sandra) , West Palm Beach, FL and Mike (Patti) , Pickens, SC; two sisters, Ann Wall, Blackshear, and Bobbi Peacock, Alma; three grandchildren, Jason (Sayuri) , Wendy , and Nicholas (Olivia) ; five great-grandchildren, Rina, Ren, Colsen, Hazel and Rowen ; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Matt Peters officiating.

Interment followed in the Blackshear City Cemetery.
