Brian Steven Smith, 62, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following a short illness.

He was born in Florida to the late Carl Lott Smith and Audrey Lee Edwards Smith. He retired as an electrician from Naval Air Station Cecil Field in Jacksonville, FL and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). He was also a member of VFW Post 4382 in Waycross. He had a passion for riding motorcycles and loved traveling. It was said he was a world traveler.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, Mike Smith.

Survivors include two sisters, Linda White (Kevin) and Debbie Gilley, both of Waycross; a brother, Rodney Smith (Sally), Waycross; several nieces and nephews, Josh Smith, Eric Smith (Elaina), Michael Smith (Kelly), Serenity Carter (Roman), David White (Lori), Alex White, Kade White, Stephanie Dean, David Gilley and Caleb Smith; two great-nephews, Bruce Harn, Connor Sapp and numerous others.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday, March 17, from the Waycross First Assembly.

Interment followed in Oakland Cemetery.

His friends from the VFW Post 4382 in Waycross served as honorary pallbearers.
