Eva Joan Clary Pridgen
Mrs. Pridgen was born in Thomson, Ga., to the late Horace Eulond Clary Sr., and Ava Hawes Clary.
She graduated from Thomson High School in 1950.
Mrs. Pridgen was a member of Central Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday School Class. She was very active in the Wayc ross community.
Mrs. Pridgen was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, The National Society of Magna Charta Dames, The National Society of Colonial Dames, First Families of Georgia, The Jamestown Society, Augusta Genealogical Society and Midway Museum, Inc. She also served as President of the American Legion Auxiliary Pridgen

A loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, she cherished every moment she was able to spend with her family.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Pridgen was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Howard Pridgen, Sr., and three brothers, Charles Hawes Clary, Eulond Clary, Jr., and Forrest Thurston Clary.
Mrs. Pridgen is survived by four children, Howard L. Pridgen, Jr., of Cochran, Ga., Cynthia Kinnon and her husband, Tim, of Waycross, Ann Seeley and her husband, Don, of Amelia Island, Fla., and Jane Hersey and her husband, Donald, of Waycross; four grandchildren, Paul Kinnon and his wife, Wendy, of Millwood, Ava McQuaig and her husband, Aaron, of Blackshear, Traci Helms of Brunswick and Allyson Haralson and her husband, Will, of Marietta, Ga.; four great grandchildren, Abigail McQuaig, Clary Kinnon, Eva Haralson and Ellie Haralson; three step-grandchildren, Courtney Estes and her husband, Jeremy, Jennifer Hersey and Matthew Hersey; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family would like to express its sincere appreciation to the Staff of Satilla Bluffs and Lindsey Brasher for the exceptional and compassionate care that was always given to Mrs. Pridgen.
A funeral service was held Monday, March 10 at Central Baptist Church. A graveside service was at Pridgen Baptist Church Cemetery in Coffee County.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church, 201 Ava Street, Waycross, 31501.
