She was born in Waycross, daughter of the late Henry McLaughlin, Sr., and Judy Poole Staley.

Ms. Lajoie is survived by her daughter, Amber Wilson (Jerrel) of Waycross; son, Kyle Herrin (Anna) of Sanford, N.C.; grandchildren, Oliver and Willow Wilson; siblings, Henry McLaughlin, Jr., (Jessica), James McLaughlin (Zoe), T.J. McLaughlin (Brandie), and Christopher McLaughlin; and stepmother, Lisa McLaughlin; as well as many other close friends and extended family.

In addition to Waycross being home for Ms. Lajoie, she also lived in Edgewater and New Smyrna, Fla., for some time. Ms. Lajoie worked as a cosmetologist and also enjoyed playing cards, painting, cooking, and crafting.

Her children have fond memories of taking trips to the beach and to Universal Studios. She was an amazing grandma and constantly went above and beyond for her grandchildren. She always treated people kindly and will be dearly missed by those that knew her.
