Kellie Deal Hand, 64, of Bristol, died Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross.

A long-time resident of Bristol community, she was a member of the Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church and was formerly an employee with South Georgia Cotton Gin Warehouse and Williams Brothers Trucking Company. Her leisure time was always with family. She was preceded in death by her parents, William J. Deal and Bonnie Deal and a son, Nathan Wade Herrington Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Larry Hand; a daughter, Kera (Bill) Grimes, Baxley; a son, Christopher Hand, Decatur; grandchildren, Tiffany, T.J. Sema, Nikea, Samantha, Karissa, Zander, Kaley Jo, Charlee, Cash, Ozzy, Sol and Louis; 11 greatgrandchildren; siblings, Denise (Rodney) Brannen, Bill Deal and Kevin (Julie) Deal and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, from the Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Elder Jason Deal and the Rev. David Young officiating and a eulogy by Denise Brannen.

Musical selections included “Amazing Grace”, “It is Well with My Soul” and “He Keeps Me Singing” by the congregation led by Dianne Metts accompanied by Lynne Thornton on the piano and a recording of “Go Rest High on that Mountain”.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup was in charge of arrangements.
