HOBOKEN — Mrs. Kathy Johnson, 81, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025, at her residence in Hoboken following a short illness.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Redbay, Fla., to the late William Marion Adkison and Bertha Pauline Cannon. She was a homemaker and mom.

Mrs. Johnson was the oldest of five children. She was a bit bossy growing up and that never changed. Mrs. Johnson worked with mentally chall enged people all her young life and had the first Sunday School class with a group of challenged adults in Bonifay, Fla.

She was a worker and loved to work in the vegetable garden. Mrs. Johnson always had flowers around her home. She always had a little chihuahua and spoiled them with a scoop of ice cream at night.

Following her husband’s (Don) retirement, they moved from Jacksonville, Fla., to Hoboken where she worked with Flash Foods for many years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Don” Edward Johnson; a son, Robert Ramer III; one grandchild; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Nita McLaney.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by three children, Roy Ramer of Hoboken, Janet Sexton (Mike) of Montgomery, Ala., and Keith Woodham (Pamela) of Panama City, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and three siblings, Betty Bolena of Jacksonville, Fla., Rita Boswell (Lester) of Bonifay, Fla., and Leroy Adkison (Diane) of Gates, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 1 p.m., at Redbay Cemetery in Ponce De Leon, Fla.

Music Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
