Retired educator and community leader Bobbie Johnson will be this year’s grand marshal for Pierce County’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day observances. Johnson will be among those honored at the annual MLK program at 5 p.m. Saturday, January 18. The program will be held at the Scott Chapel Methodist Church, 420 Highway Avenue South, Blackshear. Elder Michael David will be the guest speaker for the program. The parade will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20 and Johnson will lead the annual procession.
