Barbara Jean Aspinwall Morgan

Barbara Jean Aspinwall Morgan, 74, of Blackshear, passed away early Monday morning, January 2, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, following a short illness.

Born April 15, 1948, in Wayne County, she was a daughter of the late Mage Mathew and Ela Mae Sloan Aspinwall. She had lived most of her life in Pierce County and had worked as a CNA with Pierce County Home Health. She attended many years at Youmans Chapel Baptist Church but had recently attended Abundant Life Christian Center in Blackshear.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Allen King, second husband, John H. Morgan, and her third husband, Joseph Perritt; a son, Anthony Allen King; sister, Shirley Aspinwall Peacock and a brother, Bobby Aspinwall.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbee Smoot (husband Larry, Retired Staff Sgt. US Army), Killeen, TX; son, Tim King (wife Peggy), Blackshear; four grandsons, Levi Taylor and Trent Taylor (wife Ofelia Mata), both of Killeen, TX, and Jonathan King (wife Kaitlyn), Waycross and Mathew King, Blackshear; three great-grandchildren, Peyton Mata, Logan Taylor and Gabriel King and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Waters Cemetery.
