Alice Dixon, 76, of Alma, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Bacon County Hospital in Alma after an extended illness.
She was born August 30, 1947 in Bacon County to Ralph Crosby and Nadine Harris Byrd. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael “Mickey” Dixon and brother, Glenn F. Crosby.
Survivors include her step-mother, Delama Crosby; daughters, Amy Gilliard (Jason) and Angie Cox; three grandchildren, Hannah Nobles (Kellan), Grant Gilliard (Lauren) and Mattie Cox; five great-grandchildren, Kate, Drake and Kooper Nobles, Kash Gilliard and Alora Merritt; brothers, Jim Byrd (Melba) and Steve Byrd (Dorcell) and sisters, Eva Johnson and Janice Gilliard (Loy).
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 4, from the New Vision Church with the Rev. Bobby Bentley officiating. Amy Gilliard will give a personal eulogy.
Crosby Funeral Home of Alma is in charge of arrangements.
