Anna Brittni Deal, 38, of Waycross, Georgia, peacefully passed into her heavenly home Sunday, November 19, 2023, while surrounded by her closest loved ones.
She was born in Tifton to Mickey Thomas “Tommy” Ellington Jr. and Tammy Ryan Ellington and was then lovingly raised in Fitzgerald. Early on, she established God, family, love, kindness and generosity as her core values in life and she went on after high school graduation to pursue a life and career where those values would be lavishly poured out into the jobs and relationships she encountered along the way.
From South Georgia OMS in Valdosta to Fender-Goggans in Douglas to Brittni Deal Photography in Waycross, she was known by all as a Godly woman, devoted wife, incredible mother, precious daughter, beautiful sister, loyal friend, talented photographer, creative chef, avid bass fisher and an example of all things good, pure and kind. Always leaving others better than before, she saw beauty in the broken, shared burdens with the hurting and spoke love into those around her even until her final breath.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Cynthia Rodgers and paternal grandfather, Mickey Thomas Ellington Sr.
Survivors include her husband of 12 years, David Blake Deal (they were married October 22, 2011); two children, Bailey Britt Deal (10) and Brooks Thomas Deal (7); her parents, Tommy and Tammy Ellington, Fitzgerald; twin sisters, Amanda Brooke Geeslin (husband Billy), Senoia and Allison Blair Floyd (husband Ben), Douglas; nephews, Mason Geeslin, Grant Geeslin, Cooper Floyd and Charles Floyd; niece, Maggie Geeslin; paternal grandmother, Mamie Ruth Ellington, Fitzgerald; maternal grandfather, Clarence Ryan, Bassett, VA; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Donald and Marilyn Deal, Waycross; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Blaine and Michelle Deal, Patterson and their children, Taylor and Connor.
She will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind. She had a remarkable way of touching the hearts and souls of those she met, knew and loved and because she lived as a true image of Christ, we can be certain her legacy and her life will not end with death.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-11:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at Sweat Memorial Baptist Church in Waycross.
Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, Nov.22, from the Sweat Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Glosson and the Rev. Dr. Bill Young officiating. The eulogy will be given by her twin sisters, Brooke and Blair.
