Teressa Ann Curl Mobley

Teressa Ann Curl Mobley, 60, of Blackshear, passed away Monday morning, November 6, 2023, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, following an extended illness.

Born August 21, 1963 in Fort Benning, she was a daughter of Edsel Floyd Curl and the late Joann Knowles Curl. She was a 1981 graduate of Bacon County High School and lived most of her life in Alma and Blackshear.  She was a longtime assistant manager and cook at Mobley’s Sandwich Shoppe in Blackshear.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her stepson, Terry L. Wright.

Survivors include her husband, Jesse Mobley Jr., Blackshear; a son, Matthew Edwin Mobley, Alma; a daughter, Vanessa Ann Mobley, St. Simons Island; daughter-in-law, Michelle Wright, Blackshear; father, Edsel Curl, Alma; brother, Mitchell Curl (wife Jamie), Alma; nieces and nephew, Sarah Curl, Sadie Curl and Logan Curl, all of Alma; two aunts, Shirley Harrell, Douglas and Barbara Peacock (husband Walter), Alma; five sisters-in-law, Betty Barber, Manor and Gwen Clark, Diane Stanfield  and Susan Mobley, all of Blackshear and Bonnie Williams (husband the Rev. Thomas), Dixie Union; three brothers-in-law, Jeffrey L. Mobley (wife Tammy) and Ricky Mobley, both of Blackshear and Perry Mobley, Lakeland, FL and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at the funeral home.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, from the Campground Methodist Cemetery in Bacon County.
