Sauls receives ‘Clerk of the Year’ honor

Pierce County Clerk of Court Thomas W. Sauls received the Stetson F. Bennett Jr. Superior Court Clerk of the Year Award for 2022.

The award is given by the Superior Court Clerks Association of Georgia in recognition of outstanding leadership and dedication.

Sauls is commended as a dedicated servant to his community, his staff, his judicial team and his fellow clerks.

Sauls currently serves as president of the Superior Court Clerks’ Association of Georgia and as a member of the COAG Board. In 2017, he won First District Clerk of the Year. He serves as a volunteer fire fighter, teaches Sunday School every week and his employees think he is the “Best Boss Ever.”

The Clerk of the Year Award is named for long-time Wayne County Court Clerk Bennett Jr. who served in that capacity in his county for 48 years.
