Clara Mae Yates Prince, 90, of Waycross, was called Home by her Lord and Savior Saturday afternoon, May 6, 2023.
She was born April 27, 1933, in Tyronza, AR to the late Walter and Mary Densman Yates. She was a faithful member of the Bono Church of Christ since 1964 until she moved to Waycross in 2017 and placed her membership with the Northside Church of Christ.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Juneis Prince; son, Wayne Prince and sister, Sallie Longcrier-Duty.
Survivors include her daughter, Vickie Cain and son-in-law Charles, Blackshear; two daughters-in-law, Debbie Prince, Norman Park and Melody Prince, Leesburg; six grandchildren, Dustin Weir, Perry, Daniel Weir, Hawkinsville, Mary Prince Hobgood, Norman Park, Ashley Prince Crenshaw, Montgomery, AL, Juneis Wayne Prince Jr., Leesburg and Kirstie Prince, Leesburg; four great-grandsons and five great-granddaughters. In Arkansas, she leaves behind her brother, Larry Stevenson and sister-in-law Sharon and niece and nephew, Donna and Ron Sylvia and many family and friends whose lives she touched.
She will be laid to rest in a graveside service at 2 p.m. Friday, May 12, in the Pinelog Cemetery in Brookland, AR.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Cain, Dustin Weir, Daniel Weir, Juneis Prince Jr., Andrew Crenshaw, Jason Hobgood, Kameron Prince and Kolby Prince.
