Gilbert Leon “Gil” Arterbridge Jr., 74, of Buchanan, left this earth and those he loved Sunday, May 29, 2023.
Born August 31, 1948, in Wilmington, Delaware, he was a son of the late Gilbert L. Arterbridge Sr. and Doris Scully Roop. He graduated from Henry C. Conrad High School in 1966 and attended Goldey-Beacom College of Business and the University of Delaware.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, he was an Aviation Electronics Technician and flew as an Air Crew member. He was a Vietnam Veteran.
He worked 32 years for AT&T and retired as a Technical Engineer for Network Planning. He also spent five years working for Nissan Motor Company as Internet Manager.
His favorite things were baseball which he played until he was 42 and trips to Florida.
Survivors include his brother, Bruce Arterbridge, Newark, DE; sister, Linda Kellogg, Wilmington, DE; son, Adam Arterbridge, Lee’s Summit, MO; two daughters, Michelle Bowen (husband Tommy), Blackshear and Lauren Campbell (husband Lonny), Paulding; two grandchildren, Madison Adair and Landon Adair and other relatives.
His final request was to be cremated and then scattered at sea.
No public services will be held but he wishes for his friends and family to remember the fun they had together.
