Edith Ann Thorne Bennett, 91, of Patterson, passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 12, 2023, at her residence, following an extended illness.
Born July 22, 1932, in Offerman, she was a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Vera Marie Russ Thorne. She was raised in Pierce County and had lived most of her life living half the year in Offerman and the other half in Fayetteville, NC. She was a longtime housewife and a member of Offerman Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Gene Bennett; a son, Bronze Bennett and all her siblings.
Survivors include her son, Travis Rudolph Bennett, Offerman; daughter, Travis Ann Babb, Fayetteville NC; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and several other relatives.
A private funeral service will take place with burial following in the Offerman Cemetery.
