Anna Lisa Johnson Newberry, 52, passed away at her home in Waycross Saturday, October 28, 2023 after an extended illness.
She was born November 14, 1970 in Bacon County. Her father, Harry E. Johnson, preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of the Bacon County Class of 1988 and a member of New Vision Church.
Survivors include her mother, Eva Crosby Johnson, Alma; fiancé, Brandon Morgan, Waycross; three sons, Garret Newberry (Logan), Waycross, Will Newberry (Alyssia), Alma and Adam Newberry (Georgia Shae), Rhine; step-daughter, Brandi Davis (Timothy), Millwood; five grandchildren, Zadie, Kager and Tate Newberry and Coleson and Tinsley Davis; brother, Chad Johnson (Amy), Alma; sister, Paula Vickers (Chris), Douglas and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, from the New Vision Church with the Rev. Pet Hayes, the Rev. Jimmy Miles and the Rev. Edmund Thrift officiating.
Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be John Peagler, Eric Hutto, Brandon Newberry, Brant Whitley, Joe Meadows, Dee Meadows, Arthur Ray Carter and Kevin Hall.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Bacon County High School Class of 1988 and the staffs of Dr. Harrison Carter’s Office and the Downtown Sandwich Shoppe of Waycross.
Crosby Funeral Home of Alma is in charge of arrangements.
