Hunter Daine Altman

Hunter Daine Altman, 18, of Waycross, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at UF Health, Jacksonville, FL, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born December 6, 2004, in Waycross, he was a son of Roy Altman Jr. and Kristy Stephens Altman. He lived most of his life in Pierce and Appling Counties and was a 2023 graduate of Pierce County High School. During school, he was actively involved in the Audio/Visual pathway, where he was a special features producer for the Bears D.E.N. Network. He was currently working at Kroger in the meat department and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Dylan Caine Altman; grandmother, Louise Altman and an uncle, Matt Morris.

Survivors include his mother, Kristy Stephens Altman, Bristol; father, Roy Altman Jr., Jacksonville, FL; grandparents, Roy Altman Sr., Blackshear, Cecelia and Alvin Morris and Doug and Wanda Gears, all of Jacksonville, and Billy Crawford of Indiana; aunts and uncles, Crystal and Billy Meadows, Blackshear, Tina Sontag, Jacksonville, Sheena Moore, St. Augustine, Amanda Gears, Jacksonville and Pam May of Indiana and several cousins, great aunts and uncles and other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at the funeral home.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, from the Laura Chapel Cemetery.
