An investigation is underway into the death of a Patterson man who was struck by a train Saturday morning, April 1.
Estus Bernard Sharpe, 44, of Patterson, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident according to Sheriff Ramsey Bennett.
The accident occurred between Progress Rail and Offerman Cemetery on the CSX Railroad.
The incident occurred about 10 a.m. Saturday. No additional details were available at press time.
