Memorial Satilla Health will host its fourth blood drive of the year Wednesday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the annex cafetorium at 1800 Alice Street, Waycross.
Donors of all blood types are needed to keep a stable blood supply throughout the year. The American Red Cross reports that it must collect approximately 13,000 blood donations every day.
“The need is constant,” says Dr. Morris Gitter, emergency physician at Memorial Satilla. “I encourage everyone who is able, to donate blood this month as a service to their community.”
Memorial Satilla’s 2023 blood drive schedule is as follows: May 31, June 15, July 26, August 17, September 20, November 15 and December 7.
