Thelma Louise Whitson Golding, 68, of Blackshear died Monday, April 10, 2023, at Harborview Satilla in Waycross, after an extended illness.
She was born in Oakridge, Tennessee to the late William Franklin Whitson and Mary Catherine Black Whitson and made Waycross and Blackshear her home for the majority of her life. She was a homemaker who loved socializing with people in her younger days.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Elizabeth Whitson; a brother, David Whitson and a son-in-law, Paul David Henderson.
Survivors include three daughters, Kelli Henderson and Donna Golding, both of Waycross and Dawn Rowland, Blackshear; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Sandra Myers, husband George, Waycross; two brothers, Clyde Whitson wife Jane and Lee Whitson, all of Greenville, TN and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A visitation will be held from 3-4 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at the funeral home.
