Bears soccer defeats Windsor Forest and Brantley Co.

Tuesday (2/28) the PCHS Bears soccer team made the long road trip to Savannah for a region match against the number one ranked Windsor Forest Knights.

The first half was a stalemate between both teams, until the last 30 seconds, when senior striker Jonah Allen punched in a goal just before the whistle blew.

In the second half, the Bears held off the Knights offensive attacks with standout defensive performances from Clark Stovall, Seth Stipe, Ceb Carter, and Walker Brown.

Late in the second half, the Bears midfield consisting of (Lane Doss, Eric Merida, and Clark Stovall) were able to control the game, allowing Sebastian Deleon (wing) to fly down the sideline and score the second goal for the Bears.

The final score was 2-0, Bears over Knights.

Caden Edwards (goalkeeper) recorded another clean sheet for the Bears, marking his 4th scoreless game this season.

The Bears hosted Brantley at home last Friday  (Mar. 3) and scored an outstanding 9-0 victory.

Last Friday was also Senior night and students being honored included Jonah Allen, Jose Arzate, Walker Brown, Spencer Hawkins, Lane Doss, Seth Stipe, Patrick McDonald and Colin Waters.  

PCHS will next face-off against Savannah Arts Friday, March 10.
