The Bears traveled to Savannah Friday night (Mar. 10) to take on the number one ranked Savannah Arts Panthers.
The game was a defensive battle but the Panthers scored off of a corner kick late in the first half.
The Bears rallied back in the second half with double digit shots on goal, but, unfortunately, none resulted in a goal and the Bears fell to the Panthers 1-0.
Pierce County is currently ranked number two, as they continue to fight for a position in the GHSA State Playoffs.
The Bears hosted region rival Appling County Tuesday, March 14, and went to work quickly.
Senior striker Jonah Allen cruised through the Pirate defense and buried three goals before the first half ended.
A host of Bears added to the score in the second half including Ashton Bowen, Sebastian Deleon, Alex Merida and Allen.
Appling picked up three goals late in the second half, before Junior midfielder Clark Stovall hammered the last goal home for the Bears.
The final score was 8-3 Pierce County Bears.
Next up for the Bears is a home game against Windsor Forrest this Friday (Mar. 24).
