The defending State Champion Lady Bears Girl’s golf team began their season with a victory over Camden County High School.
The Lady Bears played a nine hole match Thursday, February 24 at Osprey Cove Golf Club.
The Lady Bears finished with a 20 stroke lead over.
Mackenzie Connell was the low medalist for the day with an even par score of 36, followed by Addyson Walker with a 38. Lily Spivey and Belle Sinclair tied with a 41.
Maggie Sapp and Chloe Lynn also contributed to the win with scores of 45.
Next up for the Lady Bears is a nine hole match with Wayne County High School at Pine Forest Country Club in Jesup.
“This will be an exciting season for the Lady Bears as they gear up to host the State Championship at Okefenokee Golf Course in May,” said Coach Misti Walker.
