68th Annual Chamber Gala set for April 13

The 68th annual Community Awards Ceremony and Gala will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 13, at a new location.

This year’s gala will take place at the Blackshear Railroad Depot.

The event is hosted by the Pierce County Chamber of Commerce.

The Citizen of the Year, Farmer of the Year, Huel P. Walker Educator of the Year, Leona Dixon Bright Spot Award, S. Dow Nimmer Award, Dr. Katherine Hendry Community Health Award and Business Leader of the Year will be recognized at the gala.

Food, fun and games are planned for the event.

Donations are currently being sought for a silent auction to be held in conjunction with the gala and awards ceremony.

Proceeds from the silent auction benefit the Chamber’s Education Fund which is used to award scholarships to high school seniors and to operate our youth development program, Leadership Pierce.
