Barbara Allen Autry, 76, of Blackshear, passed away late Monday evening, March 13, 2023, at the Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup.
She was a daughter of the late Walter Clayburn and Connie Reeves Allen. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lou Whitfield; and her brother, Rufus Allen.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Stephen Autry, Blackshear; two daughters and sons-in-law, Leah and Derek Smith, Waycross and Connie and John Townsend Jr., Niceville, FL; a sister-in-law, Lisa Autry, Milledgeville; six grandchildren, Maddie Reese Smith, Grant Smith, Noah Townsend, Lizzie Smith, Olivia Townsend and Katie Smith; three nieces including her special niece and best friend, Dora (Earl) Lawson, Blackshear, Gail Whitfield, Boaz, AL, and Rebecca Ann Autry, Gray; her special great nephew, Michael Blanton, Tifton; and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 16, from the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mary Ann Braswell and the Rev. Robert Wood officiating.
Interment will be in the Blackshear City Cemetery.
