Three Blackshear Elementary educators were recognized at last Monday night’s board meeting after they were nominated for the 2022-2023 National LifeChanger of the Year Award. BES Kindergarten teacher Dana Welch, second grade teacher Jennifer Murray and school counselor Laura Coates have been nominated for the award. Sponsored by the National Life Group Foundation, LifeChanger of the Year recognizes and rewards the very best K-12 educators and school district employees across the United States who are making a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence and leadership. Welch, Murray and Coates were nominated by Katie Cravey, a parent of a student, who recognized their exceptional dedication to the students of Blackshear Elementary School.
