Tommy Earl Stalvey

Tommy Earl Stalvey, 77, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, at his residence in Hoboken, following a short illness.

He was born in Waycross to the late Hubert C. Stalvey Sr. and Clennace Weldon Stalvey. He served in the United States Army Military Police and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He had a lifelong career in law enforcement. He was employed with the Waycross Police Department and the State of Georgia Fire Marshal’s Office before retiring as a special agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Kingsland.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister, Juanelle Mann and a brother, Hubert C. Stalvey, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie Stalvey, Hoboken; four children, Michael Stalvey (Amy), Waverly, Keith Stalvey (Angela), Brunswick, Jamie Tucker (Hank), Hortense, and Colby Strickland (Kristen), Blackshear; seven grandchildren, Reese Stalvey, Ethan Stalvey, Keegan Stalvey, Aydan Tucker, Kinley Tucker, Greyson Strickland and Cooper Strickland and a sister-in-law, Sylvia Stalvey, Princeton, WV.

Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, from the Music Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in High Bluff Cemetery in Brantley County.
