Ben Tuten, third baseman for the Georgia College and State University Baseball team, blasted a two-run home run and had three RBI’s and two runs scored in a weekend series over Georgia Southwestern University in Americus.
GCSU was behind 6-0 when Tuten sparked a rally in Saturday’s game to get things going for the Bobcats. Unfortunately, the rally came up short with GCSU falling 6-5.
Tuten’s home run was his third this season, and the fifth of his Bobcat career.
The Bobcats defeated Georgia Southwestern 14-9 Sunday.
Tuten went 2-for-5 game with two runs and an RBI in that contest.
Tuten is a 2018 graduate of Pierce County High School. He is the son of Loran and Melanie Tuten of Bristol.
