Harley Gerald Stone, 65, of Blackshear, passed away early Friday morning, August 18, 2023, at his residence.
Born in Waycross March 15, 1958, he lived in Pierce County most of his life. He was a 1976 graduate of Patterson High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Robbie Roberson Ford where he had been a salesman for many years. He loved to watch sports, especially the Atlanta Braves, Florida State Seminoles and NASCAR. He was a member of Youmans Chapel Baptist Church.
He was a son of the late James Melton and Doris Ruth Dasher Stone.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Wayland Daniels, Patterson; his son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Amanda Stone, Waycross; his sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Gary Carter, Blackshear; his brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Sandy Stone, Blackshear; nine grandchildren, Starla Daniels, Sonja Daniels, Baileigh Tanner, Brooke Ellis, Landon Stone, James Daniels, Michael Daniels, Hunter Daniels and Conner Daniels; two great-grandchildren, Ava Grace and Penelope and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 21, from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randall Gunter officiating.
Interment will be in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.
The family kindly requests employees of Robbie Roberson Ford to serve as honorary pallbearers. They are asked to please meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Monday.
