Pierce County 4-H is celebrating a major victory after their BB shooting team captured first place at the Georgia 4-H State BB Match.
The Pierce Red Team, made up of several talented young sharpshooters, earned an impressive team score of 2,363 points, securing their place among Georgia’s best.
Team members Aleeah Eason, Gad DePratter, Allie Herrin, Eli Chesser, Eli Locklear, JerriBeth Mullis, and Austin Brymer displayed exceptional skill, focus, and teamwork throughout the competition. Their hard work and dedication paid off, as they now advance to represent Georgia at the prestigious National Daisy BB Gun Championship Match in Rogers, Arkansas.

In celebration of the team's incredible accomplishment, Pierce County Sheriff Ramsey Bennett organized a special police escort to welcome the team back into town, marking the significance of their state championship win. The flashing lights and sirens were a fitting tribute to the team’s hard-earned success. “We are incredibly proud of these young people,' said Billie Ann King, Pierce County 4-H Agent. 'Their commitment, sportsmanship, and spirit truly exemplify what 4-H is all about. We know they will represent Pierce County and Georgia with pride in Arkansas.'
The entire community joins in congratulating the team on their outstanding achievement and wishes them the best as they head to the National Championship.
