BRANTLEY COUNTY — Richard Earl Cook, 71, of Brantley County died Friday morning, April 25, 2025 at his residence after a sudden illness.
Cook was born in Waycross to the late Rufus A. Cook and Mary Dallas Aldridge Cook. He had made Brantley County his home for most of his life.
Cook graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College. He was a truck driver for many years. Cook enjoyed fishing and tending to plants, but his true passion was anything Harley-Davidson. From collecting to riding them he loved being around or on a Harley.
In addition to his parents, Cook is preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Cook Nettles.
He is survived by three sisters, Diane Jones and husband Stafford of Hoboken, Vickey Perry and husband Henry of Hoboken, Tammy Cook of Waycross; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A private burial will be held at Thomas Cemetery.
