Pardon, III arrested on trafficking charges
A tip of someone selling illegal drugs led to an arrest and the seizure of over a pound and a half of methamphetamine and over $3,000 in cash.
Thomas Lee Pardon III, 49, was arrested Saturday, March 29, and charged with felony trafficking methamphetamine (two counts), trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of firearm/knife during the commission of crime (two counts), possession of firearm by convicted felon, misdemeanor - possession of marijuana less than 1oz, obstructing/ hindering of officers, possession of drug related objects, parole violation and driving under the influence (DUI).
Investigators received a tip March 28 about Pardon allegedly selling drugs.
Investigators Greg Nettles and Wayne Mercer of the Aggressive Crime Enforcement (ACE) Unit made a traffic stop on Pardon for DUI. During the stop they found 5 ounces of methamphetamine. This led to a search warrant being served at Pardon’s residence where an additional pound and a half of methamphetamine as well as a handgun were discovered.
Investigators seized the methamphetamine as well as $3,336 in cash.
Pardon is being held in the Pierce County Jail.
