Planning Commission Highlights

The Pierce County Planning Commission discuss and/or voted on the following during their regular monthly meeting Monday, April 14.

Highway 32, Bristol: The planning commission approved recommending rezoning 0.57 acres located at 3590 Georgia Highway 32, Bristol from multi-family to commercial. Dan Hodges requested the rezoning. There was no public comment. The item will be sent to the county commission for a final decision.

Bob Bowen Road rezoning: The planning commission approved recommending approval to rezone 10.79 acres on Bob Bowen Road from industrial to agriculture/ forestry. Anthony Knowlton requested the rezoning. There was no public comment. The item will be sent to the county commission for a final decision.

Subdivision ordinance: The commission tabled revisions/deletions to the Pierce County Subdivision Ordinance. The proposed revisions and deletions would eliminate requirements on sidewalks, crosswalks, buffers, street connectivity and curb cuts.

Next meeting: The planning commission will hold its next meeting at 10:30 am. Monday, May 12 at the courthouse annex.
