Daniel Robert Dixon Sr., 89, passed away suddenly Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
He was born in Blackshear in 1933, the son of Oden and Lottie Mae Booth Dixon. He moved to Miami, FL in the early 1950s. His primary occupation was as co-owner/operator of Dixon Roofing. In his “retirement” years, he greatly enjoyed his part-time work in the Home Depot hardware department. His faith formed the bedrock of his life and he was a devoted churchgoer (and longtime deacon) until moving into assisted living in 2019.
Survivors include his children, Elizabeth, Dan Jr. (Beth) and David (Mary). He was the proud grandfather of Daniel III, James and Genevieve.
Honoring his wishes, there will be no funeral service and he will rest in peace near his parents at Enon Cemetery in Pierce County.
