WAYCROSS — Mrs. Diann L. Dixon, 75, died Wednesday night, April 16, 2025, at Hospice House Satilla after an extended
illness.

Mrs. Dixon was born May 31, 1949 in Jesup to the late Freddie R. Brissel and Lidd i e Mandy Griffis Brissel. She was formerly employed by the Wayne County Board of Education in Jesup and Sea-Pak in Brunswick. Mrs. Dixon was currently attending Christ Church, but she was a former member of Faith Temple.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dixon was also preceded in death by her husband, Benny Dixon; sister, Rachel Gibbs; and brother, Jeffrey Brissel.
Survivors include her daughter, Wendy Gibbs (Donald) of Waycross; grandchildren, Donald Gene Gibbs, Trent Allan Gibbs and Terry James Gibbs; great grandchildren, Troy Gibbs, Malee Gibbs, Jasper Gibbs and Rhea Gibbs; sister, Dawn R. Saini (Faaagi) of Waycross; brothers, Justin Brissel (Janice) of McKinnon, Ga., and Wendell Brissel (Debbie) of Alabama; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service was held Monday, April 20 at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Kettle Creek Cemetery.
