WAYCROSS — Mr. Dave “Junior” Worth, 90, died early Friday morning, April 18, 2025, at Hospice House Satilla after an extended

illness.

He was born November 17, 1934 in Jeff Davis County to the late Dave Sam Worth, Sr. and Mammie Bell Snipes Worth. Worth retired from Scapa Dryers as a finisher after 34 years of service, and he attended Waycross Holiness Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his son, Paul Worth; sisters, Mary Worth

Lizzie Merritt (Oscar), Doris Carver (Buster), and Alvie Tino (Vernon Myers); brothers, Ranzy Worth (Amy) and Buddy Worth (Latrelle and Clara); and sister-in-law, Hazeline Worth.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mary Jo Thomas Worth of Waycross; daughter-in-law, Susan Worth of Quitman; brother, Robert Lee Worth of Douglas; sister, Lavone Kirkland (Ronald) of Jacksonville, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, April 22 at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Kettle Creek Cemetery.
