Williams resigns as Bears head Basketball coach

Bears Head Basketball Coach Jamison Williams is resigning to go back to his alma mater, Brantley County.

Williams’s resignation was accepted by the board of education at their monthly work session last Thursday. Williams was named as Brantley County’s head coach at their March school board meeting.

Brantley County alum Jamison Williams has been named as Brantley County High School’s new basketball coach.

Williams has been the Bears boys head basketball coach since 2021. He lead the Bears to their first playoff appearance in four years this past season Williams played at South Georgia State College and graduated from Thomas University. He then served as an assistant head coach at Andrews College in Cuthbert and was named head coach there in April 2019. He spent two seasons there before being hired as head coach of the Bears.
