The Rev. Johnny B. Gipson, former long-time pastor in Patterson, passed away Wedn esday, April 2, 2025, at his residence in Waycross. He was 87.
The Rev. Gipson served for almost two decades as pastor of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Patterson and is remembered this week as a “good and faithful servant Gipson
of The Lord.”
Raymond Lincoln, long-time member at Macedonia, said Pastor Gipson was dedicated to the Lord and to His church.
“Pastor Gipson was a true man of GOD. He was my family pastor for 19 years and (Pastor) Gip was just genuine love,” said Lincoln.
Funeral services for the Rev. Gipson were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, from the Greater St. Paul AME Church in Waycross.
