The Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame (HOF) announces the inaugural Mother-Son Blue and Silver Ball, Saturday, May 10 at the Blackshear Depot.
“We anticipate this will be a memorable event for all the moms and their sons as they kick up their heels on Mother’s Day Eve,” said a spokesman for the HOF Board.
“It's not expected every attendee will be in a ball gown or a tux, so we settled on the common dress theme of blue and silver since these are Pierce County School colors. Ball-goers do not have to reside in Pierce County; the board just asks that they honor the blue and silver theme.
Moms and sons can cut a rug from 6-8 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided, as well as photo ops. Tickets are $20, which covers admission for mom and her son(s).
Tickets are on sale now at The Blackshear Times and by HOF board members: John DuPont, Maureen Brown, Diann Strickland, Rick Head, Mabry James, June Bennett and Daniel Washington.
