BLACKSHEAR — Mrs. Kelli Hampton Moore, age 56, of Blackshear, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 5, 2025, at Memorial Satilla Health following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born October 18, 1968, in Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late Algerine O’Neal Hampton and Carol Ann Reynolds King. Mrs. Moore lived most of her life in Ware and Pierce counties, and was a 1986 graduate of Ware County High School. She had worked in the office for Ware Visiting Nurses, but had worked for 17 years as a paraprofessional at Blackshear Elementary School.
Mrs. Moore was a beloved kindergarten paraprofessional who had touched the hearts of numerous students and families through the years. She was awarded the 2024-25 Blackshear Elementary Paraprofessional of the Year and was the 2024-25 Diamond Bear for the Pierce County School District.

Church, Mrs. Moore was a member of the Jason Wade Sunday School Class, was a former teacher of the Pre-K (4year-old) Sunday School Class and had been a member of the choir.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her stepfather, John Marvin King Jr.
Survivors include her husband of more than 33 years, Kevin Daniel Moore of Blackshear; two children, Taylor Moore and Madison Hodges (husband Judah), both of Blackshear; stepdaughter, Kandice Moore of St. Simons Island; a grandson, Thomas James Hodges, who is expected in June; two step grandchildren, Dani Bass and Isabella Kervis; sister, Rhonda Sapp of Blackshear; brother, Jack King (wife Ashley) of McRae, Ga.; two brothers-in-law, Brian Moore (wife Cathy) of Blackshear and Michael Moore of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; special friends, Amy and Chuck Hewett of Blackshear; and many other special friends, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held today (Wednesday, April 9) at 11 a.m., at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Ben James Cemetery.
The family wishes for the Blackshear Elementary School faculty and staff to serve as honorary pallbearers and arrive at the church by 10:40 a.m.
