The twin Atkinson County churches — Pearson Traditional Methodist Church and Historic Kirkland Church — will again have an Easter SON-rise service at 10:45 a.m., Sunday, April 20 at Pearson Traditional Methodist Church, 54 Roberts Avenue East, near the Atkinson County Courthouse.
“Following the worship service we will enjoy a covered dish meal in the social hall,” said Brother Gary Griffin, pastor at both churches.
All visitors are welcome. There will be no Sunday School classes that day at either church.
“We hope you’ll be able to join us as we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord and Saviour,” Griffin said. “After brief remarks and a prayer in front of the church at 10:45 we’ll move into the sanctuary for Easter praise and worship. Then we will enjoy our meal in the fellowship hall.”
