Mark Philip Wood, 50, of Frisco, TX, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023, at his residence.
Born in Jacksonville, FL November 15, 1972, he had lived in Collierville, TN prior to moving to Frisco in 2013. He was a 1992 graduate of Collierville High School in Collierville, TN. He had worked in banking specializing in small business banking in Memphis, TN and Dallas, TX. He was a man of faith who loved the Lord and was devoted to his children. He loved playing golf and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.
Survivors include his children, Chase Philip Wood and Chloe Madison Wood, both of Frisco; his parents, Alton and Helen Buie Wood, Macon; his sister, Kimberly Jean (Jay) Jones, Gray; his twin brother, Scott Daniel Wood, Hermitage, TN; two aunts, Sue (Sid) Bryant, Macon and Sara Jean Buie Gross, Hendersonville, TN; his uncle, Lehman Wood (Brenda Parker), Gray; nieces, Stephanie (Larry) Cusson, Hendersonville, Sydney (Brooks) Veal, Atlanta, and Jennifer Brown, Jacksonville, FL; nephews, Dusty (Kelsey) Lanford, Bolingbroke, Cody (Jessie) Lanford, Augusta and Jake Lanford, Charleston, SC and several cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, at the funeral home.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel in Blackshear with Grady Miller and Scott Wood speaking.
Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
