James Ricky Taylor

DOUGLAS — Ricky Taylor, age 65, of Westgreen, Ga., passed away peacefully Sunday, March 30,2025.

Taylor was the son of James Ralph Taylor and Dorothy Eloise Miller.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Ralph Tayl or; mother, Dorothy Eloise Miller; a sister, Cindy Purvis; and three nephews, Christopher Zanders, Jason Zanders and Jason Anderson.

Taylor is survivored by his beloved wife; Sue Ann Taylor of Waynesville; step-parents, Charlene Taylor three daughters, Jennifer (Robert) Roagin of Montana, Amanda Michelle (Rowdy) Gilbert of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kelly Taylor (Jeremy) Griswald of Ambrose, Ga.; two sons and a daughterin- law, James (Connie) Metts and Jeremy Metts, all of Broxton; three stepchildren. Kole (Chaz) Dowling of Wyoming, Wayne (Miranda) Baker of Jesup and Terry (Amy) Baker of Deltona, Fla.; 22 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; four sisters, Debbie (Daron) Carelock of Alma, Sheila (Ricky) Carver of Douglas, Melissa Bolton of Jacksonville, Fla., and Tammy Taylor of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Junior (Kathy) Miller of Westgreen

and Michael Taylor Dunia, Sr., of Jacksonville, Fla.; along with several nieces and nephews.

A funeral services was heldon Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Calvary Tabernacle Full Gospel Assembly in Westgreen with Rev. Lee Moore, and Rev. Casey Wright officiating. Special speakers were Russ Story and John Higgs.

Interment followed at Calvary Tabernacle Full Gospel Assembly Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Russ Story, John Higgs, Gregory Carver, Ricky Carver, Sr., Josh Carver and Robert Byrd.

Sims Funeral Home of Douglas wa in charge of arrangements.
