WAYNESVILLE – Roy Michael Sapp, 23, of Waynesville passed away Friday, April 4, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Candler Hospital in Savannah after a brief illness.
Born in Jesup, Sapp’s parents are Michael Sapp and Sarah Rooks Sapp of Waynesville. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandp arents, Judy and Johnny Rooks; and his paternal grandparents, Howard andMaryann Sapp and Frances L. Hall.
Sapp graduated from Brantley County High School with the Class of 2020. He loved making noise and watching cartoons.
Survivors include his parents, Michael and Sarah Sapp of Waynesville; sister, Julie Sapp of Waynesville; paternal grandparents, Alex and Frances Hall of Brunswick; aunts and uncles, Nicole Miller of Warner Robins, Ann Asbell of Waynesville, Debbie Manning (Wayne, Jr.) of Jesup, Adam Sapp and Jody Sapp both of Nahunta; cousins, Trey Manning and Alex Manning both of Jesup, Kylan Miller of Warner Robins, and Landyn Asbell and Maebree Asbell both of Waynesville; and also several other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday evening (April 8, 2025) from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held today (Wednesday, April 9, 2025) at 11 a.m., at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Manning, Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Trey Manning, Richard Johns, Jackie Legear, Alex Manning, Chad Miller and Wyatt Blount.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
