Memorial Satilla Blood Drive April 11
Memorial Satilla Health will host a blood drive from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, April 11, at the Hospital Annex, 1800 Alice Street Waycross.
Donors are encouraged to make an appointment to ensure the drive is sufficiently staffed and all donor slots are filled. The Blood Connection is currently facilitating Memorial Satilla’s drives. To schedule an appointment, visit thebloodconnection.org and use sponsor code 9391.
TBC is offering $40 in rewards to donors.The Hospital Auxiliary will also give away $100 to one lucky donor and volunteers will serve homemade goodies and snacks.
Midway school council meets April 15

Daylily Society meets April 15
The South Georgia Daylily Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, at the First Baptist Church of Blackshear.
Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish to share for the evening meal.
Guest speaker will be Autumn Rogers, Environmental Horticulture Instructor at Coastal Pines Technical College.
She will speak about the school’s horticulture program and what they offer to students. She will also speak about spring gardening and will give us tips for having the best garden around.

South Georgia Commission to meet April 15 A meeting of the Southern Georgia Regional Commission Council will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 15. The meeting will be held at the SGRC Valdosta Office located at 1937 Carlton Adams Drive, Valdosta.
An executive committee Meeting will be held prior to the regular meeting at 10 a.m. Both meetings are open to the public.
