The Exchange Club of Blackshear was honored to present Ruthie Boatright with the January Student of the Month.
Boatright is in Beta, Class Officer, Student Council, First Southern Jr. Board and enjoys volunteering as recreational volleyball coach, at Patterson Baptist and at the elementary schools. She plans to attend Georgia Southern to study biology and hopes to attend veterinary school at University of Florida.
She chose Leigh Anne Hersey as her favorite teacher and stated, “She made learning fun and understandable. I feel like she taught me things in class that will help me throughout college, such as learning the material versus memorizing it”.
“Ruthie is a precious, wonderful person, I have watched her grow up to become a respectful and caring person, and I’m confident she will be successful with all that she pursues in life,” said Hersey.
