Mable Davis Marr

JESUP — Mable Davis Marr, 77 of Jesup, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 under the loving care of Georgia Hospice Care.

The Brantley County native had lived in Wayne County most of her life and was a Christian. Mrs. Marr started her career as a nurse’s aide in Jesup Healthcare and then became a homemaker and caretaker for her family in her latter days. She loved to shop, garden, listen to music, and take pictures.

Her son, David Lane, and grandson, Chris Lee Lane, preceded her in death along with her parents and siblings.

Survivors are her husband, Grady Marr of Jesup; two daughters, Donna (Ralph) Brankel of Rock, Kansas and Lisa (Billy) Crews of Jesup; grandchildren, Chris Lane, Paul (Jordan) Brankel, Stephen and Derek Lane; great grandchildren, Marley, McKenzy, Branson, Winsley, Gracie and Macey; a sister, Doris Hopkins of Screven; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Rinehart Chapel with Reverends Gerald Greenlee and Donnie Mullis officiating.

Interment followed in the O’Quinn Cemetery. Active pallbearers were friends and family.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup was in charge of arrangements.
