Carolyn Denise Johns Crews

NAHUNTA — Carolyn Denise Johns Crews, 70, of Nahunta passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Mrs. Crews was born November 26, 1954 in Folkston to the late J.E. Johns and Manda Lee Prescott Johns. She was the definition of a dev oted preacher’s wife.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crews is preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. E.C. Crews.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charity and Shannon Flowers; son and daughterin- law, Chad and Mandy

Crews; eight grandchildren, Christen (Anthony) Dixon, Shaina Flowers, Cager Flowers, Adeline Crews, Gant Highsmith (Darryll), Caleb Lucree (Kaylee), Cameron Flowers (Brooke) and Colby Flowers; three great grandchildren, Silas Herndon, Bo Highsmith and Tucker Highsmith; three siblings, Charles E. (Lena) Johns, Joan Johns (Donnie) Conner and J.B. Johns; a special sister, Emmie Lou (Ray) Griffin; two sistersin- law, Judy (Rev. Ion) Johns and Bonnie (Darrell) Simmons; bonus children, Jeff Moore, Shane Moore, Missy Henderson, Cindy Altman and Jerry Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives that loved and adored her.

The family received friends at 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church.

A service will follow at 5 p.m., with Bro. Ray McMillan, Bro. Randy Wainright, Bro. Mike Hendrix and Bro. Larry Johns officiating.

Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Travis Flowers, Gant Highsmith, Kevin Johns, Emory Crews, Bart Moody, Jeremy Crews, Kevin Blake Johns and Gannon Conner.
