Sherry Sue Woodcock Herrin, 69, of Blackshear, passed away late Thursday night, March 27, 2025, at her daughter’s residence, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born March 25, 1956, in Blackshear, she was a daughter of the late James Ward and Wylene Cason Woodcock. Living all her life in Pierce County, she was a graduate of Blackshear High School. She was a long-time employee of Julie Hat Company in Patterson and had been a caregiver/sitter for the elderly and as a stay-at-home nana. She attended Offerman Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Eugene Herrin; a sister and brother-in-law, Tammy Woodcock (L.M.) Lane; two brothers, James Mitchell Woodcock and Sanford Marlowe Woodcock and a brother-in-law, the Rev. Dr. Randy DeLoach.
Survivors include her two daughters, Dana Herrin Todd and Deeya Herrin Jennings (husband Bobby), both of Blackshear; four grandchildren, Alyssa Jennings, Bryant Jennings, Logan Todd Cecil (husband Hunter) and Leigha Todd, all of Blackshear; two sisters, Alesia DeLoach, Douglas, and Wendy Kimbrell (husband Bronze), Daytona Beach, FL; three brothers, Ray Anthony Woodcock, Patterson, Gregory Wendell Woodcock (wife Judie), Brunswick, and Eric Ward Woodcock, Patterson and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home with the Rev. James Lightsey officiating.
Interment will follow in the Patterson Cemetery.
